A CHARTER ORDINANCE REPEALING CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 13 OF THE CITY OF ANTHONY KANSAS, RELATING TO A MEETING QUORUM.
Section 1. Amended. The 2008 Kansas Legislature amended the law that requires a majority of the membership of the City’s Governing Body in order for the Kansas Open Meeting Act to apply - HB 2947, Kansas Session Laws, Chapter 178.
Section 2. Regular and Special Meetings Regular meetings of the commission shall be held at such times as shall be prescribed by ordinance, but not less than once each month. Special meetings may be called by the mayor or acting mayor, on written request of any three members of the commission, specifying the object and purpose of such meeting, which shall be read at the meeting and recorded in the journal of minutes of the meetings of the commission. In all cases it shall require three of the five commission members elect to constitute a quorum to do business; but a smaller number may adjourn from day to day and may compel the attendance of absent members in such manner and under such penalties as the commission by ordinance, may have previously prescribed.
