It is the wish of the Anthony City Commission to promote programs and activities for the Anthony Municipal Hall that are for the wholesome entertainment of the Anthony Community and Area and shall appoint an Anthony Municipal Hall Events Board.

The Anthony Municipal Hall Events Board, appointed by the Anthony City Commission, shall have five members with the initial terms being, one member serving for one year; one member serving for two years; one member serving for three years and one member serving for four years. After the initial terms, all terms shall be a period of four years. One member will be a representative of the Anthony Chamber of Commerce nominated by the Anthony Chamber of Commerce Board, annually serving for one year.

(a)   All proposed promotional programs and activities for Municipal Hall that are approved by the Events Board, shall be subject to the overriding authority by the Anthony City Commission.

(b)   The Events Board shall contact individuals or organizations to sponsor promotional programs and activities, and may sponsor such programs and activities itself for the Anthony Municipal Hall.

The City Offices must be contacted for scheduling and information about fees due for rental, for all promotional programs and activities for the Municipal Hall.

The Events Board may become the governing body for the promotional activity operations of the Municipal Hall, only at the discretion and subsequent adoption of an Ordinance by the Anthony City Commission.
